OUR PAINT SYSTEMS
A proven paint system and has been quality and durability tested.
At SB Joinery, most of our external joinery products are delivered to site, prefinished in a three coat microporous paint system. This is a spray applied finish that gives an excellent smooth finish and a very even coating. The benefits of a microporous finish is that it allows the timber to ‘breath’ which is very important when there is a change of weather (for example, a period of damp weather). This is because if the moisture content of the timber changes, the protective coating is maintained without damage to the coating on the surface.
All our joinery is prepared by our staff prior to spray finishing and is de-nibbed between each coat of paint to ensure an excellent, smooth finish is achieved.
At SB Joinery, we only use suppliers that have a proven paint system and has been quality and durability tested.
If clients prefer, we can send our products out with a primed finish only, or a prime and undercoat finish, with the final topcoats being applied on site by others.
Any RAL Colour
Our clients can choose to have their windows and doors spray finished in any RAL or BS colour. If you require, we can also quote to provide a dual finish. For example, a different colour on the outside to the inside.
MATCH TO BRANDED PRODUCTS
We can match to any branded products such as Farrow & Ball, Fired Earth and Little Green Paint Library. We can match to these colours in the same microporous paint system that we use to give our clients complete choice which is often necessary when matching to other items in the house.
TRANSLUCENT / STAIN FINISHES
We also offer a wide range of translucent and stain finishes where the natural finish is required.
