The spiral sash window is an alternative to the traditional box sash window. This type of sash windows used a spring loaded mechanism rather than the weights, cords, and pulleys found in a traditional box sash.

The main advantage of this windows is that these windows are can be fitted where there is no stepped window reveal detail. This is also a more cost effective solution whilst giving the traditional box sash window look and features but has the workings of a modern performance window.
